The University Of Burdwan, West Bengal, invites applications for admission into 3-year LLB for the session 2011-2013.

Eligibility for 3-year LLB:

At least 45% marks in case of General category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC and ST category at the Bachelor’s Degree examination in 10+ 2 + 3 pattern.

Age Limit (as on Jan 01, 2011):

Maximum 30 years in case of General Category and 35 years in case of SC, ST and Other Backward Communities.

Application Fee:

Rs. 100/-in cash and on production of original/attested Xerox copy of mark-sheet of the relevant last degree examination and age proof certificate.

Application forms and Information Brochure may also be down loaded from the University Website Candidates obtaining the form from the website must enclose a demand draft of Rs. 100/- issued in favour of “Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan” payable at Burdwan at the time of submitting the same.

Candidates willing to submit the form on the day of issue must also bring with him/her Rs. 150/- in cash to be deposited at the University Cash Counter as admission test fee along with photocopies of all original credentials & two copies of attested passport size self photograph.

Admission Process:

The selection for admission to the course shall be strictly in order of merit on the basis of performance of the eligible candidates at the written admission test to be conducted at Burdwan University, Hooghly Mohsin College and Kolkata Centre.

Syllabus for LLB Joint Entrance Test:

The test will have both objective as well as subjective type questions. The duration of the objective type test will be of 105 minutes. In the objective type test negative marking will be there i.e. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. Objective paper will contain three parts consisting of:

  • General English
  • Logical Reasoning & Comprehension
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs

Subjective paper will contain Essay Writing and Letter Writing in English having duration of 45 minutes.
