National Law University, Delhi: BA LLB Admission 2010

Admission Notice: 2010-2011

National Law University, Delhi is a premier Law University. The University has state of the art infrastructure and facilities at its campus for learning and research at Sector 14, Dwarka, New Delhi.

The University invites applications for a five year integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree programme for the academic year 2010-2011 commencing from August, 2010.

Total Seats:

80 (eighty) [70 Open + 10 for direct admission to Foreign Nationals]

RESERVATION   15% for SC Candidates, 7.5% for ST Candidates, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.

Five Year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Programme

Eligibility for NLU Delhi:

Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or equivalent Examination with not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate (those who are appearing in the examination in March/April, 2010 can also apply). Foreign Nationals to be eligible should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.

Age limit:

Below 21 years as on July 01, 2010 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates)

Admission Procedure:

Admission will be strictly on merit through All India Entrance Examination to be conducted at various centres in India.

Test Centers:

Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna.

Application Fee:

General Candidates: Rs. 2000

SC/ST/PD: Rs. 500

SC/ST Below Poverty Line (BPL): NIL

Application fee is to be paid via Demand Draft drawn in favour of "REGISTRAR, NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI", payable at Delhi along with copies of requisite Caste/PD Certificate.

Syllabus and Pattern of Written Test:

Total Marks: 150

Questions: 150

Duration: 90 minutes

Topics:

1. English (35 Marks)

2. General Knowledge (35 Marks)

3. Legal Aptitude (35 Marks)

4. Reasoning (35 Marks)

5. Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability): 10 Marks

General Knowledge Section covers Current Affairs, General Science, History, Geography, Economics, Civics etc.

Merit Formula:

(i) The candidate must secure a minimum of 40% (30% for SC and ST candidates) of the total marks in the All India Entrance Test to become eligible for the admission.

(ii) If two or more candidates secure the same percentage of marks in the Entrance Test, their merit will be determined on the basis of % of marks in the Intermediate Examination (10+2)/ Higher Secondary School or its equivalent recognized by the University.

(iii) If the merit remains the same, then the marks of X standard will be taken into consideration. If still there is no change in rank, then the higher in age shall get preference.
