About 14000 candidates appeared for CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2009 conducted in 16 cities all over India.
The second CLAT saw an increase in number of students appearing for the exam as compared to the first one conducted in 2008.
After doing away with the questions on Legal Reasoning for entrance to the undergraduate (BA LLB) course, questions based on legal aptitude were more focused on general knowledge about law. Students found them to be easier than expected. Many students were happy with their performance. Though candidates said they expected it to be harder than last year.
Last year's topper scored 157 out of the total 200 marks. However, the cut off might be higher this year.
Pattern of CLAT 2009 Question paper:
Legal GK: 45 marks
Logical reasoning: 45
General knowledge: 50
The result for CLAT 2009 is expected on June 15, 2009. Tune in to CLATGuru.com for updates.
