The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2011 will be held on May 15, 2011. The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, will conduct the test next year.

There are some positive changes suggested by the CLAT committee to make the test pattern more appropriate to test a candidate’s suitability for Law as Profession.

Here are some changes that you should expect in CLAT 2011:

  • There will be more emphasis on Current Affairs rather than on Static General Knowledge.
  • Legal knowledge sections like legal aptitude, critical and logical reasoning will be given more weightage.
  • Legal knowledge (law principlaes) may take a back seat
  • Maths will be very basic, only up to the level studied at Class 10 level

The structure of the test will remain the same as CLAT 2010.
