The Republic Day of India is celebrated on January 26 every year, the date on which the Constitution of India came into force. The Constitution replaced the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India.
Many commissions and committees are formed by the government to look into current social issues. Some of these commissions have made a substantial contribution to our lives and other have been made simply to investigate or study the case. You should familiarize yourself with these to prepare for the Legal General Knowledge part of the CLAT Exam.
The pattern for CLAT has changed for the year 2009. Now there will be no Legal Reasoning. Legal Aptitude will be replaced with “General Knowledge in Law”. So you should stop preparing for legal reasoning and simply stress on Legal GK.
The tradition of pursuing law reform through the medium of a Law Commission was started by the British and continued in post-independent India.
